Teaching Sight Words

Here is a question that came up the other day from a district that is just starting to use the Styer-Fitzgerald program.  When teaching sight words, should you teach all three forms of the word at once (e.g., EGG, Egg, egg) or start with just one form (e.g., EGG), adding other versions of the word as this word is mastered?

Our opinion is that you should teach all three forms of the word at once so that the student learns that the same word can look different. If you teach one form of the word at a time, it will take the student a lot longer to learn all forms of the word.
